The colours of this lithograph are typically Kandinsky; violet, orange and baby blue with warmer tones of yellow and light brown.  Astonishing tone for its age. While many of the works published for DLM were after (After) the death of the artist, this is one piece that had most certainly been finished by Kandinsky and archived, then printed later for publication.  The configuration of the shapes and the contrasting colours echoes the work he completed in Kleine Welten 1 (Small Worlds 1) in 1922. Now, “On White No, 2” is available from Salon and in excellent condition, rare and beautiful, one for your collection!
