The image of the work reproduced above has been cropped and does not illustrate the ample margins of the work. Aditionally, the work has been stamped at the time of printing, lower left, HENRI DESCHAMPS. It was Deschamps who prepared the plate for the chromist by executing Villon’s design most probably on a zinc plate.
